Technically proficient and drenched in details, this is as authentic an anatomy of an assassination attempt I have ever seen. Basis for the Universal Studio’s movie of the same name. A terrific read, fast paced, tautly written and excellent characterisation.
It’s as though Forsyth investigated the events as they occurred and wrote them down from memory. Because Rodin and his men are in the hotel under heavy grederick, they cannot be caught and interrogated about the assassin.
